ABOUT GUY SEGUIN

  Guy Seguin is a Red Seal Journeyman Welder and full-time college welding professor with over 20 years of hands-on industry experience. His welding career has taken him across Canada—from the Alberta oil patch as a pipeline welder, to Saskatchewan as a structural welder, to Ontario as a fabrication welder. These diverse real-world experiences give him a deep understanding of welding in field, shop, and industrial environments.

In 2020, Guy completed his master’s degree in education with a focus on 21st-century learning. Since then, he has developed corporate training programs, written welding curriculum, and delivered seminars nationally. His strength lies in combining professional welding expertise with modern teaching strategies that make learning clear, practical, and approachable.

Guy has also built a significant community online, with over 130,000 followers across several social media platforms, where he shares tutorials, tips, and insights to help new welders and hobbyists build confidence and improve their skills. He also develops online welding courses and YouTube content designed to support learners preparing for welding tests or simply wanting to become better welders.

 He prides himself on being accessible, supportive, and committed to helping his students succeed—whether in the classroom, the shop, or online.

When he’s not teaching or filming content, Guy enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, and being with his family.
